TAS Design Inc. is the design and creative team within the TAS Group. The design firm's projects are as varied as the clients it has catered to. Ranging from custom residences, commercial buildings and various boutique projects, TAS Design is a program driven, client based firm whose signature is its ability to realize uniquely designed projects that optimize client requirements within the project's defined parameters. The breadth of the Principals experience is reflected in the firm's projects. A unique Eastern sensibility complimented by strong European flare offers projects a truly distinct character evident from spatial planning through to the treatment of light and materials.
The client based process that TAS Design engages, emphasizes a strong programmatic understanding of client needs prior to starting any design work. Through the use of forms, charts, spreadsheets and diagrams, the firm establishes a clear set of project parameters including spatial needs, programmatic relations and budget parameters as guidelines. These form an integral part of the design process to ensure that the project being designed is not being guided by artistic fantasy, but enhanced by it within the parameters that have been identified. The inherent design strength of the firm allows it to place emphasis on a process based approach to ensure that the client's needs are fully realized. Through its affiliation with the TAS Group, Morbuild's relationship with its sister companies is reciprocal, especially with TAS Design. Solutions to the building process are based on a coherent decision making process ensuring that the design integrity of a project is not compromised.
Morbuild provides a wealth of resources to the design team as it offers on-going cost analysis and review of design feasability. TAS Design Inc. is not a registered member of the Ontario Association of Architects; projects that are required to have a registered architect are done through partnerships with qualified firms.
