Rockin in the Junction! The Fall Music Fest was back with a whole new lineup of bands this past Saturday September 20.
The Junction BIA hosted it’s second Fall Music Fest all day this past Saturday, offering one of the last of Toronto’s outdoor streetfests before the cold of fall and winter sets in. On what turned out to be the nicest day all week, the neighborhood already known as an emerging hub of art and design hosted a festival celebrating local up-and-coming talent as well as rising industry stars.
The lineup for the Music Fest featured a host of excellent bands, including The Sadies, The Beauties, Teenage Kicks, and many diverse performers across multiple genres of music. Check out the full line-up here.
This festival took over the entire neighborhood, inside and out. Along with the 5 outdoor stages, dozens of junction businesses hosted mini-music shows of their own indoors. Festival-goers could stop by Cut the Cheese for one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches in Toronto and a Hip-Hop show, or warm up with a coffee in Agora Cafe to hear local musicians while enjoying a special “music-themed” menu, or visit 3030 to hear Exlcaim! Music event for a free live rock show that went on all through the day.
Coupled with great food, sidewalk sales, workshops, and an outdoor cinema screening of “School of Rock” at Vine Parkette, there was tons of fun to be had in one of Toronto’s hippest neighborhoods.
TAS was thrilled to have sponsored such a rockin event, and our street team was happy to attend as well!
