Alyssa Trivelli (she/her)

Development Manager

Alyssa’s intuition is a result of her experience with mixed-use development. In her spare time, her passions include gardening, cooking, analogue photography and thrifting.

“My favourite neighbourhood is Bloordale. It’s eclectic, unassuming and inclusive.”

Amal Madanat (she/her)

Design Director, Construction

With over 20 years of experience, Amal brings her eye for design to our construction team with a keen interest on innovations that keep projects on schedule and on budget. When she’s away from her desk, Amal spends her time volunteering – she chairs the Women in Trades committee at George Brown & sits on the board of Toronto BIM Community.

“Little Italy is my favourite neighbourhood, because of its preserved architecture, humming sidewalks that are full of life and the great sense of community.”

Amanda Yu (she/her)

Analyst, Investments

Amanda is driven by the idea of a sustainable built environment and passionate about economics, real-estate investment and social impact. She brings experience from the worlds of private equity and insurance. Amanda finds time to balance enjoying the outdoors – she loves to go hiking and discover new camping spots.

“Scarborough has to be at the top of my list — it’s really diverse and authentic, and has great restaurants.”

Amir Peyman (he/him)

Assistant Project Manager

Formerly a physician, Amir now helps build functional, beautiful buildings and community spaces. He applies his enthusiasm for architecture design, development, and construction to every project.

“Community, history & vibrancy are why I love the St. Lawrence Market neighbourhood.”

Ana Melo (she/her)

Property Administrator

Ana enjoys adding stamps to her passport, experiencing new places and visiting with family. She brings over 10 years of experience in commercial and residential property management to her work with TAS.

“Distillery District & Kensington Market. Both are blended, happy and have an international flair.”

Arani Srikumar (she/her)

Estimator

Attention to detail is habitual for Arani, who brings a keen eye and love of design to her review of construction blueprints and documents. But don’t let that fool you – she is also a classically trained Bharatanatyam dancer and loves playing tennis.

“I admire Etobicoke for its robustness and pragmatic nature.”

Avery Shopsowitz (he/him)

Investment Analyst

Avery is passionate about acquisitions, dispositions, asset management, private equity investing, investor relationships & business development. After hours, you can find him either at a restaurant with friends or on the field.

“I love the food, fun and character of the Ossington neighbourhood.”

Azim Tavakali (he/him)

Construction Coordinator

Azim has been involved in construction and maintenance at TAS for over 20 years. He is an avid soccer fan who’s favorite spot to visit is Barcelona.

“The people and surprisingly relaxing atmosphere of the Entertainment District makes it one of my favourite Toronto areas.”

Babak Mortazavi (he/him)

Chairman

Babak, founder of TAS, holds three Master’s Degrees in Architecture from the National University of Iran, University of Toronto and the Beaux Arts in Paris. He has worked on more than 200 projects in Canada, the Middle East, China and the US. 

“I love The Beaches because of the focus on connections, community and motion.” 

Barry Gula, P.Eng., MBA (he/him)

Senior Director, Development

An engineer by training who happened to fall in love with planning and development, Barry has previously worked on such famous buildings as the Rogers Centre. He loves working out and all things aquatic, whether that means being by the lake, splash pads, pools, or water parks, as well as exploring neighbourhoods on his bike, taking in the urban planning and design.

“I love the Belt Line – it connects so many areas of the city with great neighbourhoods, cafes, and pools to cool down with along the way”

Barry Rambissoon (he/him)

Building Operator

Barry is a very family oriented person who enjoys spending quality time with his loved ones. He has many years of building operations and maintenance experience within condominium and institutional properties.

“My favourite areas are Rosedale and downtown Toronto. I love the diversity of people and culture and the great food selection to explore”

Bonnie Huang (she/her)

Manager, Finance

Bonnie is not your typical accountant – she has an adventurous spirit and and enjoys a range of outdoor activities, from hiking to relaxing on a patio.

“My favorite is Liberty Village. It’s fresh, emerging and convenient.”

Fabjana Pjetra (she/her)

Construction Administrator

Fabjana brings deep experience in the construction industry and has contributed to a wide variety of projects from tendering to closeout. She is passionate about art and classical music.

“My favorite part of Toronto is the Bloor Street Cultural Corridor with its variety of galleries and concert halls.”

Fatima Abrar (she/her)

Senior Accountant

Fatima brings fund accounting experience to TAS. Fatima is experimental and loves to try new things — for example, recent bucket list items include sky diving and wall climbing.

“I love the Fort York area & the Toronto Music Gardens. So green, peaceful & spacious.”

Femi Adepitan (he/him)

Accounting Analyst

Femi likes to play on and off field. He brings both his offensive and defensive game to the accounting team at TAS and is an all-star analyst. Femi loves the Toronto Raptors, but his favourite player is Lebron James. The best live game he has seen was a Raptors game in 2017 against Chicago

Georgia Brook (she/her)

Director, Development

Georgia has a great sense for what makes a neighbourhood. Everything from connectivity to character catch her attention and spark ideas on what’s next for TAS projects.

“My favourite neighbourhood in Toronto is the Annex because it has a bit of everything – eclectic yet affluent, progressive yet historical. To me, it’s the heart of the city”

Goran Alexander (he/him)

Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing

Goran holds almost two decades of experience in real estate. He’s passionate about people and community-building, and could sell sand at the beach.

Jaynaan Parmar (he/him)

Project Manager, Data, Systems & Processes

Jaynaan is our resident trivia pro with a specialized expertise in movies and always knows the latest flick to catch and the Oscar hot lists. He brings systems-thinking and an agile approach to his work at TAS.

“My favourite neighbourhood is King West because of the energy, people and of course, the food.”

Jeremy Carson (he/him)

Project Manager, Construction

Jeremy’s passion for architectural design has led to more than 10 years of experience in construction of residential family homes, high-rise condominiums, commercial buildings and retirement homes. He enjoys an active lifestyle and getting out for a run whenever possible.

“My favourite Toronto neighbourhood is The Annex because it’s historic, scenic and full of character.”

John Brodhead (he/him)

VP, Policy & Partnerships

This former chicken farmer joins our team with a wealth of experience across sectors, having worked in the private, non profit and government arenas before joining TAS. John has a young family and spends as much time as he can as an amateur lumberjack and filling out his beard.

“If I had to pick one, it would be Thorncliffe Park – so dynamic, diverse, alive, and a great Costco.”

Jun Lee (he/him)

Controller

Jun is a big soccer fan and tries to catch as many matches as he can. His enthusiasm for sports and style are easily recognizable in his work as he brings together financial data into clever plays that drive team success.

“My favourite neighbourhood is the Beaches because of the views, nature, and the community”

Kenneth Wilcox (he/him)

VP, Development

Prior to joining TAS, Ken worked as a designer for award-winning architecture studios in Toronto & Montreal. With a passion for the outdoors, Ken can be found on the ski hills in winter, and biking (or even paddleboarding!) around the city in the warmer months.

“Roncesvalles is my favourite area in the city. Why? It’s friendly, independent and authentic.”

Khan Tran (he/him)

Executive Vice President, Investments

Khan has nearly 15 years of experience in the finance and real estate sectors, with a focus on investments and asset management. He’s passionate about his family, taking the time to enjoy the lighter things in life, and leveraging TAS’s platform to drive positive social and environmental impact. When he’s not chasing his kids around, he enjoys a good meal, following politics and watching mindless movies.

“The St. Lawrence Market is central, nostalgic with great food. Love that part of the city.”

Senior Property Accountant

Kit is an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan who treasures partaking in his yearly fantasy hockey pool. Lucky for us, his financial models are just as robust as his sports metrics.

Lavan Siva (he/him)

Warranty Manager

As the resident TARION expert, Lavan ensures homeowners are happy and comfortable in their new space. To get his R&R in, Lavan tries to travel as much as he can, hangs out with his dog and works on his cars.

Led Pina (he/him)

Building Operator

Led has extensive experience in maintenance and customer service in both residential and commercial sectors, ensuring buildings are running smoothly and up to Code. Once a professional soccer player, Led is a big AC Milan fan and loves watching their games.

“I love the food and the family-oriented atmosphere of the Danforth, it’s my favourite neighbourhood in the city.”

Leslie Najgebauer (she/her)

VP, Corporate Affairs

Leslie cut her teeth (professionally!) in the charitable sector where she learned how to collaborate closely and drive impact with communities through projects like museums and cultural centres. She enjoys expanding her perspective through contemporary art, the culinary arts, yoga and meditation.

“My favourite neighbourhood has to be Parkdale for its diversity, spirit and grit.”

Levi Mullan (he/him)

Development Coordinator

Bringing his passion for social housing and mixed-use development to TAS, Levi is passionate about project management, visioning and community engagement. In his free time, Levi can be found playing social deduction board games and working on his fitness.

“The Church & Wellesley Village’s diversity, vibrancy, and breadth of services make it my favourite neighbourhood in Toronto.”

Liza Stiff (she/her)

VP, Design & Innovation

Liza is an avid backyard farmer and keen cyclist. She enjoys spending the warmer months river tubing and loves to take part in all forms of snow sports in the winter. She brings a background in architecture, experience in major P3 projects and a passion for people to her work with TAS.

“Riverdale is my favourite neighbourhood in Toronto because of the views, culture and the rich fabric of old & new.”

Mazyar Mortazavi (he/him)

President & CEO

Mazyar has led the evolution of TAS over the past 20 years with a focus of deeply aligning purpose and profit. He is deeply committed to unlocking equity across all community stakeholders and leading the evolution of capital as a tool to drive long term resiliency. Mazyar’s commitment to leveraging capital to drive impact, coupled with enhancing profitability through deep engagement have positioned TAS as a leader in community-focused real estate development. His playbook is simple, live out your passion in everything you do. Mazyar is active and involved in the community as Chair of The Bentway, Trustee at the Art Gallery of Ontario and across the YPO network.

Meagan is as dynamic as the properties she oversees. She brings many years of property management experience to TAS and consistently looks for opportunities to create and increase value for tenants and local neighbours.

Othmane Lazrak (he/him)

Assistant Project Manager

With a degree in Civil Engineering and Construction Management, Othmane brings experience managing multi-use residential projects, specializing in planning, design and construction to the table. Off the clock, he fulfills his passion for exploring nature to enhance his mental and physical health.

Corporate Affairs Coordinator

After making the move from Scotland and the arts industry, Rachel found herself working with TAS and hasn’t looked back since. In her off-time, she enjoys live comedy and theatre, rummaging through vintage stores and discovering new corners of Toronto.

Senior Project Manager, Construction

Reg brings over 25 years of experience keeping construction phases on track to the table. He’s an avid outdoorsman who balances out through fishing and hunting trips in northern Ontario.

Director of Property Management

Richard brings over 30 years of office, retail and industrial property management experience to TAS. Away from his desk, Richard enjoys soccer, going for hikes and spending time with his family.

Rob Farquharson (he/him)

Health & Wellness Coach

Rob has always pursued an active healthy lifestyle. It started by competing in a diverse set of sports growing up and continued to early adulthood, focusing his time and energy in football during University. You can now find him helping the TAS team balance out their mental and physical wellbeing.

From yoga sessions to warm destinations, Robyn is always ready to face the heat. She’s a key player on acquisitions, joint venture, portfolio strategies, and business development strategies at TAS.

Development Coordinator

Ronnie brings experience with adaptive-reuse and affordable mixed-use developments in Boston and New York. In his spare time, you’ll either find him on the tennis court or in the pool depending on his mood.

Development Coordinator

Sabrina brings her passion for exploring the relationship between built form and people to life through her work at TAS. In her spare time, she loves to travel the world and find live music.

Sahina Abowat (she/her)

Sales Administrator

Sahina is community-focused, politically savvy and, in her own words, drinks too much coffee.

Sandra Chung (she/her)

VP, Finance

Sandra supports business strategy, operations and financings, provides leadership to the finance team and day-to-day operational and asset management. Sandra also enjoys taking in the great outdoors inclusive of golfing, sailing or skiing.

“I love the Bay Bloor area with its vibrant energy and lots to take in, yet close to treed escapes and the historical charm of Victoria University.”

Director, Condominium Sales & Marketing

Sandra brings condominium sales and marketing experience ranging from pre-construction to the finished product to the table. She’s engaged in her local community and has volunteered for the World Partnership Walk and Save the Children Canada.

Corporate Affairs Manager

Sheliza is keenly interested in the intersection between urban planning and public consultation. She has a background a in planning and previously worked for TAS’s local business improvement area on Eglinton.

“The Eglinton Way is my favourite neighbourhood in Toronto. The historical Eglinton Grand theatre and the local business owners both add charm and character to the neighbourhood”

Shirin Manoucherhri (she/her)

Construction Coordinator

Shirin holds Master’s Degree in civil engineering and construction. She is passionate about great design and enjoys exploring new buildings around the city.

“On weekends, you’ll find me on Queen West – I love the diverse culture and relaxing yet exciting environment”

Taimoor Mirza (he/him)

Senior Accountant

Taimoor enjoys sports – both participating and watching, playing cricket in leagues all across the GTA. For us, he’s a financial statement and analytics batsman.

“I love being around Dundas Square – the atmosphere is exciting, energetic and entertaining.”

Tamara Paolatto (she/her)

Development Manager

Tamara is an avid baseball fan who has visited 18 of 30 major league ballparks so far. She leverages her background in architecture on the daily, and is passionate about driving impact through real estate.

“I always spend time in Little Italy for the great food, sense of community and animated streets.

Teresa Kwan (she/her)

Coordinator, Sales & Marketing

Teresa holds a background in event production, which helps her ensure sales operations run smoothly and prioritize the customer’s experience.

Tooran Mortazavi (she/her)

Vice Chairman

Tooran holds a Master’s degree in Architecture and her instrumental insights and ideas have allowed TAS to create a new understanding of how we bring a sense of home to our projects.

Vlad Dyevakov (he/him)

VP, Construction

Vlad brings over 20 years of experience leading complex, large-scale projects. He enjoys watching hockey and going skiing whenever he gets the chance.

Ziana Moledina (she/her)

Associate Director, Investments

Ziana brings an MSRED and passion for real-estate to TAS. In her off-time, she loves challenging herself to learn new skills and is currently exploring tennis and sewing.
